/dev/node IRC Network

Icefyre didnt do any good on the test-phase so the server got delinked again. Maybe just another lesson for myself. heh. After spending _days_ of compiling and configuring the ircd, merging databases and stuff like that, the Icefyre IRCd died because of excessive memory problems. Shortly after we turned all servers into temporary stable UnrealIRCd’s (to keep everything online) Jon came online with a bad mood, got pissed and talked about delinking. Actually I was told that those servers were rootserver but it looks pretty much like vservers. So I think in this case it was the best solution we could find.

Everyone welcome Icefyre. They linked their 2 servers (hex.devnode.net and icefyre.devnode.net) to the /dev/node IRC Network. Lets see how they will run in the testphase..

Windows 7 is available now! Since 22nd of October. Alot people call it “the working Vista”. Its easier ,faster, and more compact. Vista can be easily upgraded to Windows 7.
If you have a touchscreen you can now use it with Windows7.
8 million beta users (1mil. in germany) have contributed to help getting seven more stable and performant.
It now uses alot less memory than. Vista and the beta-RC1.
A testversion can be downloaded at microsoft.

The postfix update is working really good. Instead of 3k mails all 3 days, now I only get like 10spams in a month..

Today we added some restrictions/rules and black/whitelists to postfix so most of the spam will be blocked by default now.

Xenos announced that alison.us.devnode.net and charlotte.us.devnode.net will splitt the servers from the network again since everything is not working as it should. We are sorry for any inconvidence. if you get disconnected feel free to reconnect to irc.devnode.net.
